About the fund
The Dalhousie-Horrocks National Leadership Fund honours Dr. Norman Horrocks’ outstanding leadership in the field of library science. The fund will support a scholarship and an associated lecture series with the creation of an endowment at Dalhousie University.

The scholarship will be used to support graduate students entering the Master of Library and Information Studies program of the School of Information Management who demonstrate leadership potential in information management, specifically in libraries.

An associated lecture series will help promote librarianship and publicly acknowledge individuals whose active leadership in relevant professional associations has made a difference locally and internationally. A lecture will be given annually by a recognized leader in the field.
